Tea Time Tuesday's "What's In Your Cabinet?"

"Tea is a time in which we were perfectly contented with ourselves and one another." ~ Charles Dickens

Hello friends and welcome to Tea Time's 140th party! Today I am hosting,  "What's In Your Cabinet?"

I am so looking forward to having a peek at your treasures this week! Remember, you may share anything from china to silver to wood, etc. It may be a collection of teacups, teapots, dolls, plates,  silverware, jewelry, etc. Perhaps you have one special piece you would like to share such as a piece of china that has been passed down to you or found while out treasure hunting. Or maybe you have a special cabinet or a table you would like to share with us. Anything and everything that holds a special place in your heart, just share it with a cup of tea or coffee and I will come and visit you....

You all know I have a collection of teacups and teapots. You also know about my love affair with Johnson Bros. Rose Chintz and how I have acquired most of my pieces from my sweet Auntie P. I also received pieces from blogger friends, Carolyn and Patti.

And you've all heard about how I designed my china cabinet, by transforming a closet into the cabinet.

The apple green cabinet that is on my button today you have also seen before. I keep some teacups and plates in there.

So today, I thought I would show you this little cabinet. I found it already painted and adorned so prettily with the roses. I have my little mercury glass pumpkin sitting on top.

This cabinet is really a CD stand but I thought it would come in handy for some of my teacups.  I can fit quite a few teacups into this cabinet as you can see. Sixteen teacups can fit in there easily.

I also have this collection of red rimmed King's Crown glass ware.
The punch bowl set was gifted to me by my brother when Hubby and I were first married. I have four sherbets, four wine glasses, four goblets, four tumblers, four plates, a set of salt and pepper, a creamer,  and a covered candy dish.

Now the special treasure in my china cabinet which I want to share with you today is this....

I have been searching for a red transferware cow creamer for forever but I could never find one here on the Island. I could order one but with shipping costs, it would have cost me seventy-five dollars or more. That, I was not going to do!

Anyway, to make a long story short, a very dear friend of mine had this in her cabinet and she knew I collected red transferware {or I try to} and she gifted me with the creamer. She wrapped it up for me when I was leaving her home one day and said it was "just because." Needless to say, when I arrived home with it and I unwrapped it, I was thrilled to see the creamer! Isn't it cute?

It has Crown Devon Staffordshire England marked on the bottom. Thank you, dear friend, I will cherish it always as I do our friendship!

If I had a flower
For every time you made me
smile and laugh
I'd have a garden to walk in
        Forever. ~  Unknown

And now let's enjoy some tea, shall we? I'm serving Spiced Apple Chai today. Red roses and my little cow creamer look right at home with the Skye McGhie Florence tea set Hubby gifted me with for Christmas one year.

My red rimmed covered dish holding fresh berries and a wee angel food cake with some whipped cream on the side, make a lovely treat for tea today.

Won't you join me?

Do you recognize this?

It is featured in Victoria's latest Holiday Bliss magazine. I found my covered dish at a thrift shop years ago.

Ah, tea and a treat, and a good magazine!

All of life's moments should be as sweet!

So, what's in your cabinet, lovely ladies?

"Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence." ~ Jeremiah 17:7

I am delighted you have stopped by for tea today! Your presence always makes my tea party that much more special and I am happy to see all your tea things, whether you have shared them before or not. This tea party is all about sharing your joy of tea time and any thoughts you might have on the subject. You may be as creative, fancy, or as laid back with your tea time as you wish! Do you have a favourite teacup/teapot or mug that you would like to share with us today? I would love to see it and I'm sure others would too!

If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or the following is acceptable too:
Hot Apple Cider
Hot chocolate
Lemonade
Iced tea or iced coffee
Punch in a lovely bowl
No alcoholic beverages please.

The Tea Time Tuesday button on my sidebar is available for you to use in your post or place on your sidebar if you wish. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be more than welcome!
To be sure everyone has a visit, it would be nice if you visited the participant before and after your name. Inlinkz is available below for you to sign up for my tea party.
