Tea Time Tuesday

"In the tiny petal
of a tiny flower
that grew from a tiny pod,
is the miracle and the mystery
of all creation and God!" ~ Helen Steiner Rice

Happy Easter Monday and welcome dear friends  to another Tea Time Tuesday!

You are such a wonderful group of friends and you all warm my heart with your visits and lovely comments every week! I just want to thank each of you for making TTT so special!
I also want to welcome all my new followers. I am honoured to have you become a part of my little home here at Rose Chintz Cottage.

NOTE: This coming Sunday, April 15th, I will be hosting a special Tea on the Titanic in honour of all those who sailed on the famous ship one hundred years ago. I have been working on this post for weeks and I hope you will plan to join me for that.

Now on to today's afternoon tea...
Everything's coming up pansies! Well, not really; not in my garden anyway for it's much too cold. However, I am using my Purple Pansy teapot and cake plate.

"A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Don't you just love the smiling faces of pansies?

"There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature - the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter." ~ Rachel Carson

I'm having Green tea with Jasmine, would you like a cup?

A Royal Albert teacup with violets...

And my teacup with its ruffled saucer is on the table to keep the purple theme going.

I made some sugar cookies. They're not dainty cut-outs but the big  round cookies Grandma used to make.

Some have lavender sugar on top while others have a raisin in the center.

Would you like to try one with your tea?

"There is no trouble so great or so grave that cannot be much diminished by a nice cup of tea." ~ Bernard-Paul Heroux

I have just finished reading Laura Child's "The Teaberry Strangler" and next is her "Scones and Bones" which I am now reading.

The Tea Shop Mysteries are such a delightful read not only because they revolve around characters in a tea shop but they also have wonderful recipes included in the book. Have you read these stories? If you haven't then I recommend them. There are thirteen books in all.

Thank you for visiting and I do hope you will join me this Sunday for Tea on the Titanic!

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." ~ Lamentations 3:22-23 {NRSV}

I am delighted you have stopped by for a visit today. Your presence always make my tea party that much more special! Do you have a favourite teacup/teapot or mug that you would like to share with us today? I would love to see it and I'm sure others would too!

If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or the following is acceptable too:
Hot apple cider
Hot chocolate
Lemonade
Iced tea or iced coffee
Punch in a lovely bowl.
No alcoholic beverages please.

The Tea Time Tuesday button on my sidebar is available for you to use in your post or place on your sidebar if you wish. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be more than welcome! To be sure everyone has a visit, it would be nice if you visited the participant before and after your name.

As a courtesy, please link back to me so your visitors may find their way here to visit all my lovely participants.

I am joining the following parties as well~
