A Very Special Person in My Life!

Good Morning ~ Today is a beautiful day, and it is someone special's birthday today; my Aunt Phyllis'. Once in a while I like to introduce to you a member of my family and as today is Auntie's birthday, I would like to do a post in her honour. Auntie P does not have her own blog but she does visit mine on a regular basis and a few of yours as well.

Auntie hails from Riverview, New Brunswick, which is where I am from originally. She is my mother's youngest sister but there are not too many years between us. She is not only my aunt, but she is a beloved friend, confidant, and a sister in the Lord. I consider her to be one of my best friends and I love the big heart in this special lady!
She is the one who got me started on the Rose Chintz dishes, of which I am so fond. I have such wonderful memories of my childhood, visiting her and my mother's family in New Brunswick. But I have made even more precious memories over the years because of our mutual faith in Christ.

Auntie raised three children with her first husband and now she has two beautiful granddaughters. When her children were in their teens, she went back to school and studied to be an RNA, which is another name for LPN or Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for many years as a nurse and is now retired.
A number of years ago, after her first husband passed away, Auntie P married a tall, handsome gentleman from the UK who came to be my Uncle Doug. He was a distinguished police officer, now retired from the Force. He lavishes my auntie with all the love and charm of a true British gentleman and I adore him!
Auntie P and Uncle Doug are a very special couple who touch the lives of everyone they come in contact with. They serve the Lord in their home, their church, and in the surrounding community; and they always have time for me, their niece.

Aunt Phyllis is one of the most generous people I know.
You know those lovely folks who do such nice things for others in secret, and nobody knows about it except the recipient and God? Well, Auntie is one of those people. She has such a lot of compassion for those who are less fortunate. I can just imagine the mansion our Lord has waiting for her in heaven!
Aunt P, I'm so glad we're such good friends and I want you to know that I cherish our friendship! My prayer for you today is that all the love and joy you extend to others will return to you, a double portion!
May God bless you with many more happy and healthy years to serve Him and to be a blessing to others!
I wish you a wonderful day and I'm glad you're in my life.....
"Happy Birthday"
I love you ~ Sandi
{For those of you who may have noticed the little red heart I often leave at the end of a post, that is my way of sending my love to Auntie P.}
